It’s also amazing, that if a not unsignificant part of this was these guys levered up raiding slow-to-move deflation hedges and leftover safe haven positions, how this price action helped to change perceptions and create a new standard macro situation. Of course coupled with some real policy change, jawboning and the media.
Must be that reflexivity in play.

But, imagine if Japan, EZ and US were all to undertake exactly the same ccy weakening policies (oh that’s right, at least 2 of them already are 🙂 ) Scary stuff indeed.
