Yeah, I do see the correlation…especially in that May 2010 to mid-2011 on the big runup in strength in both….so yeah, if it unwinds, like possibly what is going on in gold now, then CHF weakness could be sustainable….time will tell. I think all mkts have seen the CHF as a one-way bet but maybe this fall in Gold might cause more CHF long unwinds. I’m thinking back a few years here when the big middle east Sovs sold squizillions of USD/CHF 1.10/1.12; have they bought back already, happy to stay short, or start to cover sometime?? Like I said, timings all that matters

But we’ve all been waiting for that and I cannot see it happening now with all the Eurozone turmoil grabbing the headlines.
