However, developments in the economy in response to fiscal policy changes and a continued clear deterioration in Australia’s terms of trade (see http://www.rba.gov.au/chart-pack/images/15-commodity-prices/15br-tot-small.gif) has me wary of potential left field developments on monetary policy. At some stage, if these dynamics continue, a surprise move on rates by RBA cannot be ruled out.

The mkt wants to buy USD at the moment and any sort of favourable nfp will see the specs pile into USD longs imho. So def prefer the buy-USD-dip play
