Gotta get lucky but worth watching I think

Unfortunately we still gotta pay attention to this rubbish in case something starts to move

You have mentioned a trade idea in your Asian market open post, a contrarian trade for GBP/USD, just for a morning training, where would you have set your S/L ? The more logical would be under 1.5035 ?

I was running a layered short E/U position yesterday, it ran for about 40 pips so I went to bed…woke up said WTF & cut it around breakeven.

My reading of the market is that this week so far, what seems like good bearish technicals have lacked a clear trigger on the fundamentals picture to bring the next wave down…i suspect everyone is keeping the powder dry ahead of event risk? Plus the big move down throughout the whole of last month as well, who wants to keep adding shorts at this level?

Overnight developments like equities hitting a new high, Feds still banging on that old QE drum, didn’t do much to inspire confidence to maintain my position, ultimately these 2 factors was why I decided to cut it. I’m still bearish for now, but little incentive to commit prior to Thurs and NFP…

Thoughts?

I guess we’ll have to wait for Thursday’s ECB and Friday’s NFP for some clear signals. It’s probably best to stay out of this market until then.
