That may take the form of an increase in the Core Funding ratio, changes in the LTV rates banks can lend out at, or possibly even foreign ownership laws… The RBNZ is stuck between a rock and a hard place currently in terms of its MP framework.. the NZ economy could use lower rates, but the risk is that fuels an already overheated Auckland property market – with changes in CFRs, LTV ratios or foreign ownership laws they can slow Auckland whilst keeping a low or lower OCR)
