Although they haven’t done anything, inflation expectations in Japan have apparently increased recently. Not by anywhere near 2%, but I guess it’s a start.

However, EUR/USD failed to close it so far since it’s closed in EUR/JPY. That makes me think EUR/USD might test 1.28 before closing the gap. EUR/JPY to test 120 and USD/JPY to test 94. Of course any good news from Cyprus or Japan might ruin this setup.

If 12435/50 looks like holding, then I will add again and may indeed have a bigger play than normal as I think its very technically relevant if gap closes and then holds? In fact, if you’re right and we see EUR/USD close its gap, then USD/JPY could be a raging sell with a stop above recent 9660 highs??
