iv been trading for a coulpe of years now but its been a full time obsession so id like to think im not inexperienced.
i would like to believe that one of the strategies that i employ, and which i consider to be my best, can meet the criteria that you have outlined. But i have a few queries.
what minimum account size would you like to see in order to be satisifed about the profitability and characteristics of the methodology and over what period.
depending on your answer i would like to set up my account in a few months and begin recording my performance. it is discretionary and to an extent almost hard to describe but i have employed it successfully over the last 8-10 months and is robust..( only to have my other “trades” dilute overall results)
im interested only in running or working for a fund and not as a signal provider and would love to know more but the size of the post limits me.
thanks

I guess a retail trader has to be consistent for at least 2-3 years, prove to himself that he is good enough before venturing out and starting his own business, be it joining a hedge fund or starting his own signals. 2-3 years of consistency will provide a trader solid base and confidence for himself to take further risk.

That’s what i like about trading compared to starting a business. You need bare minimum investment to start and you don’t have to pile up assets or start a big bang venture.

There are cons also, but I will focus on the pros.
